Sellers Pre-Home Inspection List

Change the furnace filter.
Make sure all lights work - replace bulbs if necessary.
Check all appliances for normal working order (note: leave dishes in dishwasher with a note to the home inspector saying "Home Inspector--Please run a whole cycle all the way through".
Check safety on garage door opener.
Make sure your attic fan works.
Make sure toilets work and flush properly.
Check if shower heads or faucets leak.
Provide receipts or information for chimney cleaning done in the last year.
Provide receipts or information for exterior painting in the last three years.
Provide receipts or information for any major improvements made in the last year.
Provide receipts or information for any current contracts you may have with service companies.
